All Southern California Hot Springs

California is the third largest state when it comes to “soakable” natural hot springs. In addition, there are more hot mineral water springs in Southern California than Northern California.

The Southern California border is located east of the states of Nevada and Arizona, to the south by the international border of the United States and Mexico and to the west by the Pacific Ocean. There is no official definition for the northern boundary of Southern California, but most include all the land south of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Tehachapi Mountains.

Hot Springs in Southern California include two distinct types. Non-commercial hot springs that are typically located on public national forest or BLM land and commercial hot springs that have a private owner and vary from rustic to five-star hot springs resort.

Popular hot springs in Southern California include Sycamore Mineral Springs, Deep Creek Hot Springs and hot water found throughout Los Padres National Forest, the Sespe Wilderness and Death Valley.
