Visited the Boat Box on 8/11/06.  The river is low and the bucket for bailing cold water is broken, so I soaked for only a few minutes, which was all I could stand of the extra-hot water.  Trash levels and visits from others were low.

Can't say that this is the most scenic hot spring I have ever been too, but perhaps the most convenient... it's literally just off the side of the highway on the salmon river. and because it's below the road, it's relatively private, although you'll never know who's about to swing by. it's definately worth a quick soak. i was there in june 07 and the bucket had been replaced, although it was hard to plug up the bottom of the tub. so we used a plastic bag to wrap the plug and it seemed to work just fine. should you visit this spring, keep in mind that it's pretty small and there's only room for about 4 people....
